PLUSES: This is definitely the cheapest place in Venice, Italy. It's very near the train station of Santa Lucia and can be found at the back of a posh hotel along a lively Venetian street.
MINUSES: Super lumpy beds. And since I was there on a hot summer day and was assigned an interior room, I nearly died of asphyxiation. No elevators so bringing your bags to the topmost floor will be too big a chore.
