IN THE NEWS: Diplomats destroy Egypt whale fossil

While the Greeks are still desperately working to control wildfires that threaten the historic archaeological site of Olympia, home to the original Olympic Games, diplomats of a still unrevealed European country have destroyed the fossilized remains of a whale in the Egyptian desert.

The valuable cultural patrimony in this area called Wadi Hitan (Whale Valley) was worth millions of dollars and was destroyed when the diplomats refused to stop when asked by the wardens to do so.
I really wonder sometimes how insensitive some people can be.
