Just got back from a tiring but enjoyable weekend in Barcelona, and I am terribly itching now to blog again. (Did anyone miss me?)

Most school children in the Philippines would most probably know who Magellan was. But one big misconception is that he's a Spaniard. He did work for the Spanish crown but Magellan (Fernão de Magalhães) was Portuguese.

And this "re"-discoverer of the Philippines the people of Lisbon immortalized in the Padrão dos Descobrimentos along the banks of the Tagus.
