Chavacano pop

Chavacano, the Spanish creole language in the Philippines spoken extensively in Zamboanga and Cavite, now enjoys a fair share of mainstream media exposure. I previously wrote about a band called Comic Relief who do their own compositions in the language.

Now, the girl group Mocha is making waves with the dance hit Patcha (kick in English, patada en Español).
